Follow the below procedure if you are unable to play recorded videos on Lukas Viewer
1. For those who use Lukas Viewer for HD models
1) Problem: Unable to play recorded videos on Lukas Viewer
This happens when the versions of the viewer and the firmware differ from each other.
If you use the older versions of Lukas Viewer, the viewer will only recognize and play MP4 files,
while the device with the latest firmware saves videos in AVI format, causing the above problem.
To solve this problem, you will have to download the latest version of Lukas viewer AND
the latest firmware for the device.
Click here to download the latest Lukas viewer.
Click here to download the latest firmware update.
2) Problem: Lukas Viewer shows only a black screen when playing the recorded video.
If you are unable to see "ffdshow" in red icon, it means that the codec IS installed but
NOT running properly.
In this case, you have to delete both the ffdshow program and Lukas viewer.
Then try re-downloading Lukas viewer on your computer.
If the same problem occurs after completing the above procedure, try upgrading to the
latest firmware for the graphics card and/or the monitor.
2. For those who use Lukas/Qvia Viewer for FHD models
